250 security enthusiasts gathered at Yellowhat, eager to share and learn about Microsoft’s security products. Hundreds of people also tuned in to the live-stream to watch the presentations and after-talks with the presenters.

We got interesting insights into Microsoft’s development roadmap towards GenAI supporting the defensive capabilities of SOC analysts. There’s many hurdles to take and challenges to solve, but developments are inspiring nonetheless.

Also, a great line-up of professionals shared their experience and research around the Defender ecosystem. Our own Olaf presented with Microsoft’s Saar Cohen around EDR telemetry. Why does Defender (or any other EDR) not see everything? Why did the development team make certain choices and how did the team create the possibility to expand these capabilities with Custom Collection?
